I’ve been busy! With school, mainly.

At this point, I must point out that backstage Carnegie Hall is… unattractive. It’s not half as glamorous as one would think, seeing it’s one of the most famous music halls in the world. Oh, and there were 2 elevators that were being held together by duct tape… we took the stairs. Oh, and it’s REALLY confusing in there; total maze with multiple staircases and elevators that each take you to a different spot… I got myself lost (by myself) in there – I took the wrong staircase and ended up at a fire exit only door. But I found my way back. Now the hall itself… absolutely breathtakingly spectacularly gorgeous! It was such an honor to play there!

What happens when you take a bunch of fun-loving musicians, a reason to celebrate, and a boat with singing waitstaff? GIANT FLOATING DANCE PARTY AT MIDNIGHT!!!! The dance floor was crowded!!! It was a blast! (Though, as an Irish Step Dancer, I have NO idea what to do with my arms when I dance!)

Okay, so there’s only Internet down in the lobby, so I can’t really post. I’ll do one big giant post when I get home. For now I’ll just say… NYC IS AWESOME!!! And a bunch of my FASA friends are here too! So until then… Bye!!!
We stopped in North Carolina for about 30 minutes, now we’re back in the clouds. Some of my FASA friends got on this plane too. Wait, they just said That we’re starting decent! We’re almost there!!!!!!!

Anyways, I’m going to try to do a bunch of short updates instead of a couple big ones. So for right now…
That’s the plane and my reading material. Yes, that is a whole book about technique. Yes, I know that’s not standard airplane reading material. Yes, I know I’m a music nerd.
Armed with bubblegum, my ears have temporarily stopped popping. That’s the only thing I don’t like about planes. Interesting, though – only my right ear pops. Guess that has something to do with my hearing, but I don’t see how since my hearing loss is neurological, not physical.
I’ll write more later!!!
Here we are, at our hotel in Dallas. I had a major giggle attack on the way here. I couldn’t breathe I was laughing so hard! And I wasn’t laughing at anything… I was just laughing uncontrollably for no reason. Anyway, I like this place:

In about 2 hours, we will be loading into our car and driving to Dallas.
At 7:00 am, my mom and I will be taking off in an airplane to NYC.
